This is a pretty important post if you're a blogger, so please read! Sorry about linking to other blogs recently but I only do it if it's worth reading, I promise. There's a wonderful blog called Shoeper Woman that's run by Amber who regularly blogs about shoes, pretty funky name right? Well that's what someone called Laura thought and actually set up a retail website and blog (several other accounts on facebook, twitter, etc) with the same name, she was well aware of Amber's blog when she did this.
In fact she went one step further, Laura is actually applying for trademark! I know it's unbelievable and downright nasty to try and steal that from the real Shoeper Woman, now Amber has to also apply which costs a lot of money. If you don't think it's Amber's blog then please don't read it, it doesn't deserve the hits. Amber however does need the hits, the more hits she has the more likely it is that she will gain the trademark and people will find the real Shoeper Woman beforehand.

This issue seems to be fairly prevalent unfortunately--I read in a blog called Diamond Stash how another girl used her exact profile description and wrote a nasty satirical post imitating her. Disgusting.
btw, I did a little sick in my mouth when I saw that ad on my blog!! Then I saw your comment, so I just wanted to let you know that I took that disgusting thing down immediately--no way I'd knowingly have that on my blog! UGH!
Urgh there's being a lot of internet hate going on lately, it's NOT okay. Bahha that advert is too cringy for me I'm afraid xD
I doubt anyone would want to take mine, but I couldn't exactly get a trademark, as it's a Voltaire lyric :P

@ Juliet's Lace - Currently my posts are being reproduced elsewhere without my permission, I'm unable to contact the owner of the site, and the post I put up asking them not to do it has been reproduced on their site too! (The cheek!)
So I understand how irritating this issue is, I will go give Amber some hits ^^
What a terrible thing to do! Sometimes people are just horrible. It's definitely something that we as bloggers need to keep in mind. It's probably worth going for a trademark proactively, although not everyone has the means. It's very sad that we even have to worry about such things!!
